The Global Jazz Art Collection is an Art Project by contemporary artist Henk Mommaas. As a subject and metaphor he has chosen composers and musicians whom are pillars in the Jazz History.

This collection is of a monumental stature in which Mommaas uses energy, tension, form and color to portray the history of Jazz. He has chosen those musicians and composers whom were essential for the sound and style of their time. For Mommaas Jazz is above all a world language and lifestyle. The energy and vital richness that Jazz represents is the driving force that brought Mommaas to give form to this festival of color.
